Hannah Davey

ARTS-ACTIVISM SPECIALIST,
GREENPEACE

Hannah Davey is an arts-activism specialist at Greenpeace UK.

An artist, creative producer and art director making and curating special projects that activate public, corporate and political spaces – usually without permission. Her work is often playful and on the edgier side of participatory, always sits at the intersection of the arts and activism, and is informed equally by both.

She is proud to be a trustee for Coney – a company of makers creating interactive theatre, games and adventures where people can choose to take a meaningful part. Their principles of adventure, curiosity, and loveliness very much inform her creative practice, and she often designs direct actions with a gift to the target in mind.

She’s also a core member of the art collective, @liberatetate – which made live art performances for six years across Tate spaces without their permission, to persuade them (as a critical friend) to drop funding from BP, which they finally did in 2016.
