Read MoreFreelancers Make Theatre Work are an inclusive, independent community for the 200,000+ self-employed and freelance workers from all areas of theatre, opera and live performance, who make up 70% of the UK theatre workforce.
Inc Arts champion the creative, contractual and economic rights of the UK's African, Asian, Caribbean and ethnically diverse arts sector workforce. We make inclusive change in the arts and cultural sector. Our vision is to create a thriving cultural community that allows everyone to do their best work.
Migrants in Culture is a network of migrants organising to create the conditions of safety, agency and solidarity in the culture sector for migrants, people of colour and all others impacted by the UK’s immigration regime.
MAX Musician and Artist Exchange is a network of practitioners drawn from classical music and the arts throughout the UK founded on a core belief in promoting diversity and equality. MAX advocates for artist-led work and a drive for greater equality between independent artists and the organisations with whom they work. MAX will collaborate with artists and organisations to challenge existing orthodoxies and develop new practices.
people make it work is a group of 60 freelance cultural workers, who have come together with a shared mission to support the cultural sector to change, develop and transform. We do that with organisations, cities, leaders and creative individuals with free tools, guidance, advice as well as peer-based programmes.
Something To Aim For works at the intersection of the arts, learning, health and wellbeing sectors to provide advocacy and capacity building for artists who are at the margins of mainstream culture, the creative industries and wider society.
What Next? is a free-to-access UK-wide movement for arts and culture. With chapters across the country, we bring together freelancers, and small and large arts organisations to inform, debate and shape the future of the arts and culture.
Arts Council England is the national development agency for creativity and culture, investing public money from Government and The National Lottery to help support the sector and to deliver our strategy, Let’s Create. We believe the creative and cultural sector is only as strong as the talent of the individuals that work in it. We need to retain the best talent as well as bringing in new talent that reflects the wide range of backgrounds that make England such a vibrant place to live. We therefore have to make creativity and culture a viable and attractive place to work for all.
