HEAD OF PROGRAMMING
SOMETHING TO AIM FOR

Gini Simpson is Head of Public Programmes at Something To Aim For, where she sets up large scale programmes linking different communities and networks, facilitating effective knowledge exchange and authentic co-creation, which can genuinely engage diverse people to contribute to solutions to big issues.

She has worked across the creative industries in both institutions, small arts organisations and commercially in advertising. She was previously a social worker in Brixton. Gini is also the Artistic Director at Hear Me Out, a charity which sets up music programmes in immigration detention centres and shares music made there with the world.

Gini has been a mentor for a number of years, mentoring people and organisations. She was mentored herself for the first time ever last year by a single parent, like Gini, who helped her to change her entire outlook on working in the arts and the value she could bring
