Dr. Roaa Ali
INTER-DISCIPLINARY EDUCATOR & RESEARCHER
Dr. Roaa Ali is an interdisciplinary educator and researcher with a growing research profile in race and diversity in the Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs); inequality; and institutional change.
She recently joined Royal Central School of Speech and Drama as a Research Associate working on a major project to analyse Covid-related structural crises in the theatre industry, and how the industry might transform in response.
Roaa is also an Honorary research fellow at the Centre on Dynamics of Ethnicity (CoDE) at the University of Manchester, where she has been exploring ethnic inequality in CCIs and have recently co-authored the wide-industry report: ‘the impact of Covid-19 and BLM protests on ethnically diverse creatives and cultural Workers’.
