Join this What Next? Zoom meeting to hear about some of the ways that Arts Council England (ACE) supports cultural freelancers and to contribute to a discussion about what will be needed in the future.

Chair Alexandrina Hemsley, Freelance Artist and Creative Director, Yewande 103 Ltd and Lizzie Crump, UK Strategic Lead, What Next?, will be in conversation with Michelle Dickson, Director Strategy, Erica Campayne, Senior Manager, Combined Arts & Individuals and Lizzy Emmerton, Officer, Policy and Research from Arts Council England, followed by questions – some of which will be submitted by freelancers in advance. Bring your experiences, ideas, solutions and questions to the session.

The discussion will follow the What Next? format and will therefore not be recorded, in line with the Chatham House ethos. We want everyone to feel comfortable and confident in contributing to What Next?, and for us to build a space that enables trust and respect. For that reason, our meetings are currently Chatham House – which means that we are asking people not to attribute anything in the meeting to a specific person unless you have the speaker’s permission to do so. This also means this event will not be recorded. A summary of notes will be provided instead following the discussion.

We encourage attendees to watch this short video outlining the current ACE offer beforehand.
